The 60-kilometre parent of the Pasiphae group

What one broken asteroid left behind.

Eurydome is thought to be a fragment of a larger body.[2]

Size of the parent

The original body is calculated to have been about 60 km across, about the size of Pasiphae.[4]

What survived

Pasiphae retains 99% of the original body’s mass — or 87% if Sinope belongs to the group.[4]

Average orbits

Group members have inclinations around 148° and eccentricities around 0.34.[4] Eurydome, at about 149° and 0.29, fits that pattern.[3]
